The School of ESLYoga’s principles of learning English
- Well-being is a prerequisite for successful learning and personal growth
As an educator I have experienced how the past year has profoundly impacted the needs and well-being of our students. As well-being is a prerequisite for successful learning it is therefore essential to adapt what and how we teach. However, the ongoing uncertainties and changes of our time continue to challenge our students’ mental health, outlook and readiness to learn profoundly.
- An integrated teaching approach leads to successful learning
To recreate students’ readiness for learning, students need tools and practices that support not only their learning, but also their mental clarity and well-being. The ESLYoga approach to acquiring English proficiency combines the latest methodologies in immersive language teaching and the deep knowledge of the long history of mindfulness practices.
- Learning a language lies at the heart of personal transformation
To support students holistically, ESLYoga provides a one of a kind curriculum. Through structured, experiential and open-ended activities which are all embedded in a modern context of health, yoga and mindfulness students are invited to develop their English competency and deepen their knowledge of mindfulness practices. This immersion of content and practice directly supports the learning process of English as a Second Language and understanding of how to recreate a personal sense of health and well-being.
